    A partir de las principales tesis en torno a la religión cristiana del filósofo italiano Gianni Vattimo, el artículo pretende dar continuidad a otro anterior del autor sobre el tema presentando sumariamente varias críticas de algunos teólogos e intelectuales católicos (Girard, Borghesi, Dotolo, Mardones y Estrada). Estos señalan ciertos límites y objeciones al planteamiento religioso de Vattimo que consideran no encaja en su integridad dentro de la recta doctrina de la Iglesia, la cual postula un mensaje y una praxis más “fuertes”, aunque siempre desde el estilo y talante kenótico del Jesús evangélico que es el que Vattimo propugna prioritariamente.

    Based on the main theses on the Christian religion of the Italian philosopher Gianni Vattimo, the article aims to give continuity to an earlier one by the author on the subject by summarizing various criticisms of some Catholic theologians and intellectuals (Girard, Borghesi, Dotolo, Mardones and Estrada). These point out certain limits and objections to Vattimo’s religious approach which they consider does not fit in its integrity within the correct doctrine of the Church, which postulates a “stronger” message and practice, although always from the kenotic style and disposition of the evangelical Jesus, which is what Vattimo primarily advocates.
