  • In recent years, the need for centers of excellence (COEs), for patients to receive the most innovative diagnostic work-up and best medical care, has become increasingly urgent. Simultaneously, health professionals also strive to work in COEs to increase the quality of their work as well as their professional satisfaction and academic prestige. However, health administrators worldwide debate the optimization of patient organization and the roles of clinicians to create the most cost-effective and suitable structures and increase the scientific contributions of their departments by publishing their most recent findings.
