• Acromegaly is a systemic disease that is, the result of excessive growth hormone (GH)and insulin-like growth factor type I (IGF-I) and is associated with long-term comorbidities.1 Acromegaly treatment and knowledge of its comorbidities have evolved significantly in the past decades and are addressed in this review.
