  This article aims to evaluate, through the literature, the advances in awareness regarding the collection of solid waste in civil construction. Such evaluation is due to the civil construction is responsible for a large part of waste generation, one of them being the (RCC) that affects the economy, society and the environment. The civil engineer is linked to the generation of this waste and is one of those responsible for the proper disposal.

  Despite the existing norms and laws, it is noted that there is a lack of environmental education regarding the disposal site, as well as the lack of inspection and indication of an appropriate place to avoid irregular disposal.

  Este artigo objetiva avaliar, por meio da literatura, os avanços da conscientização a respeito da coleta dos resíduos sólidos na construção civil. Tal avaliação se dá pelo fato que a construção civil é responsável por grande parte da geração de resíduos, sendo um deles o RCC que afeta a economia, a sociedade e o meio ambiente. O engenheiro civil está ligado a geração deste resíduo e é um dos responsáveis pelo descarte de forma adequada. Apesar das normas e leis existentes, nota-se que existe falta de educação ambiental referente ao local de descarte, bem como a falta de uma fiscalização e indicação de local apropriado para evitar o descarte irregular.
