El trabajo presenta una aproximación al comportamiento de los murales de Asunción, expresión compañera de los grafitis, de los stencil y otras técnicas que conforman el cotidiano visual de la ciudad. El arte mural callejero de Asunción está dejando su visible impronta y amerita leerlo como un fenómeno cultural que da significación a un espacio público, soporte de contenidos de otra frecuencia, muy distinta a la del dominio de la publicidad y señalética oficial a la que se tiene como costumbre. La protesta y el arte callejero funcionan en esa otra frecuencia, paralela a la comunicación oficial, comercial y de propaganda. Transcurren fuera de cánones de forma y contenido, renovando el transcurrir de la cultura urbana y ejercitando el derecho a la ciudad. La observación del comportamiento mural de la ciudad y los casos particulares citados en el análisis están a la vista mediante la serie de fotografías publicadas en el artículo.

This work presents an approach to the behavior of Asuncion's murals, a companion expression of graffiti, stencils and other techniques that make up the visual daily life of the city. The street mural art of Asunción is leaving its visible imprint and deserves to be read as a cultural phenomenon that gives meaning to a public space, that supports content of another frequency, very different from that of advertising and official signage habit. Protest and street art work on that other frequency, parallel to official, commercial and publicity communication. They pass out of canons of form and content, renewing the passage of urban culture and exercising the right to the city. The observation of the mural behavior of the city and the particular cases cited in the analysis are visible through the series of photographs published in the article.
