    Dentro de los diferentes estudios de Arqueología que se han ido desarrollando en los últimos tiempos, la Arqueología Funeraria y la Arqueología de la Muerte han sido de gran ayuda a los investigadores para poder completar el conocimiento de los complejos sistemas de creencias que la sociedad de aquel momento desarrolló. En el presente artículo nos gustaría presentar el mundo funerario existente dentro de la Hispania Romana, siguiendo una evolución cronológica desde comienzos de la dominación romana hasta el inicio del Medievo, empleando para ello el estudio de los contenedores funerarios como material arqueológico e hilo conductor para mostrar los cambios de mentalidad y creencias que hubo en la Península Ibérica.

    Among the different Archaeology studies developed over the last years, the Funerary Archaeology and the Archaeology of Death have been very helpful for researchers to complete their knowledge of the complex belief systems which were developed by the Roman society. In the present article we would like to show the presence of this funerary world in Hispania, following a chronological evolution from the origins of the Roman domination to the beginning of the Middle Ages. For this purpose we will use the study of funerary containers as archaeological material and unifying thread to reflect the mentality changes and beliefs that took place in the Iberian Peninsula.
