En los Parallela minora –una obra miscelánea falsamente atribuida a Plutarco– se utiliza la historia de Roma como paralelo narrativo de los relatos de tema griego (históricos, míticos, ficcionales); sin embargo, el autor del compendio altera las narraciones históricas tradicionales convirtiendo la historia en un simple relato anecdótico y fabuloso, de acuerdo con las tendencias literarias del momento.
In Parallela minora –a miscellaneous work falsely attributed to Plutarch – Roman History appears as a narrative parallel to the stories of Greek plot (historical, mythical, fictional), but the author of the compendium turns traditional historic narratives into a fabulous and anecdotic story, following the literary tendencies of the time.
