En el presente artículo intentaré reflexionar sobre la importancia de este término durante los siglos en los que su relevancia y profusión alcanza su máxima notoriedad; en esta ocasión solamente me centraré en el emperador como invictus, en gran parte porque abordar el problema como un todo requeriría un espacio mucho mayor del que este artículo me permite. El objetivo de estas líneas es ofrecer una nueva interpretación de este problema fundamentando la misma en fuentes literarias, numismáticas, y epigráficas.

In this article I will try to reflect on the importance of this term during the centuries in which its relevance and its profusion reached its maximum notoriety. This time, I will only focus on the emperor as invictus to a large extent, because trying to deal with the whole issue would require a higher space than this article. The aim of these lines is to show a new interpretation of this problem, basing it with literary, numismatic and epigraphic sources.
