    El canvi climàtic i el canvi global és un fet demostrat arreu del mon, també de manera clara al Montseny, per exemple en la mediterranització del seu clima, el que comporta d’afeccions molt marcades a flora i fauna. Atesa la singularitat biogeogràfica del Montseny, aquest es converteix en un paisatge excepcionalment sentinella.

    Els paisatges septentrionals i diverses especies vegetals i animals que hi tenen el seu límit de distribució meridional més extrem, en són particularment sensibles.

    Al Montseny el procés d’abandonament del sector primari, accelerat amb la consegüent evolució dels sectors productius secundari i terciari, ha induït importants transformacions a nivell socioecològic, que es manifesten en una transformació dels usos i cobertes del sòl. Aquest procés ha comportat una tendència general a l’aforestació en detriment dels espais oberts.

    Climate and global changes are proven facts throughout the world, and subsequently in the Montseny massif, where the Mediterranization of its climate, for example, entails very marked affections on flora and fauna.

    The biogeographical singularity of the Montseny turns it into an exceptional sentinel landscape. The northern landscapes and various plant and animal species,which have more extreme southern distribution limit, are particularly sensitive. In Montseny, the abandoning process of the primary sector, accelerated after the consequent evolution of the secondary and tertiary production sectors, has induced significant transformations at the socioecological level, which are evidenced by a transformation of the uses and coverings of the soil. This process has led to a general tendency towards afforestation at the expense of open spaces.
