Resumen de La vespa asiàtica: (Vespa velutina nigrithorax) al Montseny (II)

  A Monografies del Montseny/34 fèiem una introducció de com va arribar aquí la vespa asiàtica, tot reflexionant de la capacitat actual que té l’home per introduir noves espècies exòtiques invasores. A la zona del nostre estudi, acotada a diversos municipis del Baix Montseny, des de que es va detectar el primer niu, ens permet poder fer un seguiment molt acurat, i disposar de dades que ens acosten més a entendre el comportament d’aquest himenòpter.

  Com li poden afectar variables com la temperatura o fonts d’alimentació, i millorar sistemes i productes per al seu control. També us explicarem la detecció i seguiment des de fa dos anys, de les primeres vespes velutina nigrithorax, detectades amb un patró de color anòmal a Europa, de com han construït un niu amb cera, i com hem desenvolupat un producte per tractar nius, sense biocides, amb la Mallerenga carbonera com a aliat.

  In the edition 34 of “Monografíes del Montseny” we explained how the Asian wasp arrived here, all considering the humans current ability to bring in new invasive exotic species. The area on which our study focusses, delimited to several municipalities of the Baix Montseny, from the very moment the first nest was detected, allows us to do a quite accurate follow up so as to obtain such data that will help us to better understand the behaviour of this Hymenoptera. That is to find out in which way different variables like temperature and nutrition can affect them, and improve systems and products for its control. We will also explain the actions we have taken for two years now, in order to detect and follow up the first Velutina Nigrithorax wasps, identified by their uncommon colour pattern in Europe, monitoring how they were making their nest with wax, and developing a product meant to treat nests without biocides, with Mallerenga Carbonera as an ally.
