    Describe los momentos culminantes del ritual mortuorio y los símbolos más expresivos, destacando luego: la relación que expresan entre vida y muerte; vivos y muertos; tierra y muertos; los lazos que con el rito se cortan y los que se estrechan; el paralelismo entre ritos de nacimiento y ritos mortuorios: "ayudar al naciente/agonizante en el paso a otro estado de vida y apoyar a su familia/ayllu/tierra en este trance".
