    La formación y motivación inicial desde el ingreso a la universidad cobra importancia ya que ello permitiría que los resultados y las estadísticas de producción científica en Bolivia cambien. Durante el 2011 se registró una contribución en ciencias de la salud del 0,3% de la producción científica latinoamericana y del 0,01% de la producción mundial en comparación al 50% en países como Brasil1,2.  Desde hace mucho tiempo atrás, en otras escuelas de medicina tienen como política de educación superior la formación de semilleros de investigación como una forma de mejorar el conocimiento adquirido y profundizar en diferentes áreas y líneas de investigación durante el pregrado, fruto del interés y motivación de los estudiantes. La importancia de empezar en esta etapa es crucial, sustentado en las repercusiones positivas que tendrá en el futuro3.

    The initial training and motivation from the moment of entering the university becomes important since this would allow the results and statistics of scientific production in Bolivia to change. During 2011, a contribution in health sciences of 0.3% of Latin American scientific production and 0.01% of world production was recorded, compared to 50% in countries such as Brazil1,2.

    For a long time, other medical schools have had a higher education policy of forming research seedbeds as a way of improving the knowledge acquired and deepening different areas and lines of research during undergraduate studies, which is the result of student interest and motivation. The importance of starting at this stage is crucial, based on the positive repercussions it will have in the future3.
