    La ciudad turística de sol y playa tiene su auge en la plétora del turismo de masas fordista. Las sucesivas crisis económicas han forjado su transformación, exprimiendo la rentabilidad financiera de sus activos inmobiliarios. Sin dejar de ser espacios de producción para la prestación de servicios, el valor de su entorno construido y su renta de situación atrae inversión y nuevas funciones que se reflejan en el planeamiento urbanístico y turístico. Su transformación durante la contrareforma neoliberal, la crisis sistémica de 2008 y la pandemia de la COVID-19 marcan su devenir y los retos de su futuro

    The tourist city of sun and beach has its boom in the plethora of Fordist mass tourism.

    Successive economic crises have forged its transformation, squeezing the financial profitability of its real estate assets. Without ceasing to be production spaces for the provision of services, the value of its built environment and its rental profitability attracts investment and new functions that are reflected in urban and tourist planning.

    Its transformation during the neoliberal counter-reform, the 2008 systemic crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic leaves its historical patth and marks the challenges of its future evolution.
