  • Upper Carboniferous Ichthyoliths and Ostracods from the western Argenüna occur associated with Other invertebrates in the upper member of the Río del Peñón formation. The faunal assemblage belongs to the so-called intermediate fauna (Westphalian-Stephanian epoch).
