  Takin into consideration the fact that the majority of the jobs in the Industrial District of Manaus was occupied by women in the 1980’s, this article will analyze the context of female domination through the perspective of gender as an analytical category, making a brief history of the strikes from the nineteenth century onwards. Subsequently, taking into account the perspectives of the feminism in Brazil and its influences, we will emphasize the process trough witch the female amazonian workers went from victims to participants on the strikes, showcasing there actions of resistance in the fight against precarization and exploitation, contributing on this way to retell the story of women who claim spaces of dignity amid the struggles.

  Considerando a presença predominantemente feminina nos postos de trabalho no Distrito Industrial de Manaus nos anos 80, este artigo tem como intenção analisar o contexto da dominação feminina na perspectiva do gênero como categoria analítica, fazendo um breve histórico das mulheres grevistas a partir do século XIX. Posteriormente, sob a ótica da questão do feminismo no Brasil e suas influências, enfatiza-se o processo no qual as mulheres operárias amazonenses passaram de vítimas a participantes atuantes nas greves, salientando suas ações de resistência e de luta contra a precarização e exploração, contribuindo para recontar a história de mulheres que tanto reivindicaram espaços de igualdade e lutaram por dignidade
