  • We study the stratigraphic and structural characteristics of the Paleogene materials along the northeastern border of les Gavarres mountains. A detailed geological map, as well as cross- sections and correlation panels, are presented based on outcrop data and well-logs. Our results show that those lithological formations are intensively fractured, and therefore aquifer levels are heavily broken apart in fragments. Nevertheless, potentiometric data indicate good hydraulic connection between them.
