Innovación y tecnología educativa en el contexto actual latinoamericano

    La innovación y la tecnología a partir del siglo XX transformaron la humanidad por el impacto y difusión de artefactos, que influyeron en el desenvolvimiento de empresas, organizaciones y sistemas, entre ellos el educativo, rompiendo paradigmas en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Desde entonces hablar de educación es hablar también de tecnología educativa. Es por ello, que el objetivo del presente artículo consiste en analizar la innovación y tecnología educativa en el contexto actual latinoamericano, a través de un estudio descriptivo-documental. Entre los resultados destacan, que a pesar de vivir en el siglo XXI, existen vulnerabilidades en cuanto a dificultad digital geográfica, capacitación, recursos y medios que interfieren en el uso eficaz, situación que se ha evidenciado con la contingencia mundial del Covid-19 y el cierre total de instituciones educativas de todos los niveles de Latinoamérica en su formación presencial, siguiendo su consecutividad gracias a los beneficios de la cultura digital, adaptándose al contexto de cada región y logrando la consolidación del aprendizaje a distancia del estudiantado. Se concluye, que no obstante las desavenencias, desigualdades entre países latinoamericanos, de acceso a dispositivos digitales o uso de un sistema de conexión eficiente, el uso de la tecnología permitió cumplir los objetivos académicos.

    Innovation and technology from the 20th century transformed humanity through the impact and diffusion of artifacts, which influenced the development of companies, organizations and systems, including education, breaking paradigms in the teaching-learning process. Since then, talking about education is also talking about educational technology. For this reason, the objective of this article is to analyze educational innovation and technology in the current Latin American context, through a descriptive-documentary study.

    The results include that despite living in the 21st century, there are vulnerabilities in terms of geographic digital difficulty, training, resources and means that interfere with effective use, a situation that has been evidenced by the global contingency of Covid-19 and the total closure of educational institutions of all levels in Latin America in their face-to-face training, following their succession thanks to the benefits of digital culture, adapting to the context of each region and achieving the consolidation of distance learning for students. It is concluded that despite the disagreements, inequalities between Latin American countries, access to digital devices or use of an efficient connection system, the use of technology allowed to meet the academic objectives.
