Relación entre la creatividad y las funciones ejecutivas en alumnos de Educación Infantil

    El objetivo de la presente investigación es identificar si existe correlación entre una medida de función ejecutiva y el nivel de creatividad en una muestra de alumnos con edades entre los 3 a los 6 años. Para medir la creatividad se empleó el cuestionario de creatividad (Tuttle, 1980) y la tarea de “Simón dice” para evaluar la función ejecutiva. Para analizar la correlación se empleó estadística paramétrica, concretamente el estadístico de correlación de Pearson. Los resultados encontrados muestran que existe relación estadísticamente significativa positiva y alta entre ambas variables (.880, p< ,001). Estos resultados podrían sugerir que la creatividad se asocia con mayor desarrollo de las funciones ejecutivas, por lo que podría estimularse su desarrollo a través de actividades creativas.

    The objective of this research is to identify whether there is a correlation between a measure of executive function and the level of creativity in a sample of children aged 3 to 6 years. To measure creativity questionnaire (Tuttle, 1980) and the task of “Simon Says” to assess executive function. To analyze the correlation it was used the parametric statistics, namely the Pearson correlation statistic.The results show that there is a significant and positive relationship, very strong in statistical terms, between the two variables (.880, p <.001). These results could suggest that creativity is associated with an increased development of the executive functions, and their development could be stimulated through creative activities.
