    The article will bring a mapping of the candidates to the novitiate and the religious profession of the Convent of Our Lady of the conception of the aid, at the beginning of its foundation, in the year 1750. They are in all, thirteen requests, which mostly were to be inhabited and professed in the said convent, or for a temporary recollection for various reasons. In the composition of the work, they will be indicated: the place of origin, the name of their parents or guardians, if in fact they became religious and the age and the year in which they died. From this stage, we will try to understand how the Benedictine Bishop D. Fr.

    Antônio of the Exile Malheiros (1746-1773) ruled the then convent by means of the constitutions prepared by him in 1750, thus exerting his power against the religious.

    O artigo trará um mapeamento das candidatas ao noviciado e à profissão religiosa do Convento de Nossa Senhora da Conceição da Ajuda, no princípio de sua fundação, no ano de 1750. São ao todo, treze solicitações, que em sua maioria, eram para noviciar e professar no dito convento, ou para um recolhimento temporário por motivos diversos. Na composição do trabalho, serão indicados: o local de origem, o nome de seus pais ou responsáveis, se de fato tornaram-se religiosas e a idade e o ano em que faleceram. A partir desta etapa, tentaremos compreender a forma como o bispo Beneditino D. Fr. Antônio do Desterro Malheiros (1746-1773) governou o então convento por meio das constituições elaboradas por ele em 1750, exercendo assim o seu poder frente às religiosas.
