    Determinar el potencial turístico de un lugar precisa una visión sistémica en el análisis de la información territorial ─sistema territorial─, seleccionando los elementos y factores análogos del sistema destino. El objetivo es predecir la capacidad de respuesta territorial a su funcionalización turística. Tomando como base la metodología convencional proponemos un giro en su propósito analítico: un indicador representativo de la especialización turística de facto o estructura material existente, reflejo de la problemática actual y no de una hipotética superposición del turismo sobre el lugar. Los resultados evidencian los efectos perniciosos de la subversión del uso y valor de cambio del territorio en perjuicio de una amplia periferia dependiente o damnificada por las relaciones de mercado canalizadas desde los centros de poder.

    Determining the tourist potential of a place requires a systemic vision in the analysis of the territorial information ─ territorial system ─, selecting the elements and analogous factors of the destination system. The objective is to predict the territorial response capacity to its tourist functionalization. Based on conventional methodology, we propose a change in its analytical purpose: a representative indicator of the real tourism specialization or existing material structure, which is a reflection of the current problem, not a hypothetical overlap of tourism about the place. The results show us the pernicious effects of the subversion of the use and the exchange value of the territory to the detriment of a vast dependent periphery or affected by the market relations channeled through power centers
