Resumen de Legal language as a language for special purposes “sui generis”

• In this paper legal language will be considered a language for special purposes. To prove this specificity and the fact that it is a language sui generis, there will be described some characteristics of the legal language and stressed what distinguished this language from the other languages for special purposes. The examples will be given in the language combination German-Portuguese.
