    En estos tiempos confusos —tiempos de ruido y furia, que son en realidad tiempos de banalidad del bienestar, tiempos de mediocridad plomiza y hasta de vacua trivialidad—, se nos requiere para que aportemos algunas reflexiones y comentarios sobre la poética de la novela y sobre el arte de hacer novelas en este tiempo —parafraseando al gran Lope—.

    Reflexiones y comentarios que si por un lado surgen del saber teórico, resultado de muchos años de dedicación al asunto, por otro se asientan en la práctica consolidada de la creación literaria.

    In these confusing times —times full of sound and fury, actually times for cheapening welfare, times of grey mediocrity, even empty triviality— we are requested to contribute with some reflections and comments on the poetics of the novel as well as the art of creating novels in these times, as Lope might have written.
