    Through the location and analysis of the artistic production that privileges the sculptural representation of the black woman in Brazil, a general panorama will be exposed about the repercussion of these works and the possible dialogues with the international production that shelters the same theme. From Bastiana, work of the sculptress NicolinaVaz de Assis,we will see the existence of a homogeneity in the form in which the black woman, between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, is represented

    Por meio da localização e análise da produção artística que privilegia a representação escultórica da mulher negra no Brasil, será exposto um panorama geral acerca da repercussão de obras e dos diálogos possíveis com a produção internacional que abriga essa mesma temática. A partir de Bastiana, obra da escultora Nicolina Vaz de Assis, veremos a existência de uma homogeneidade na forma em que a mulher negra, entre a virada dos séculos XIX e XX, é representada.
