    The purpose with this article is the analysis of the art criticism’s writing located in the pages of Suplemento Literário, related to the newspaper Minas Gerais, in the 1960s and 70s. First published in 1966, it maintained in its pages texts that had, among other goals, the intention to map and to introduce to its readers a cartography of the art produced in the state.

    These texts endorse its importance to reach not just their readers from Minas Gerais, but also outside its boundaries. Thus, it is in our interest to investigate the relationship between the forms of this writing and the connections to the history of art in Minas Gerais and the recounting of its historical time.

    Objetiva-se, com este artigo, realizar a análise da escrita da crítica de arte situada nas páginas do “Suplemento Literário” do jornal Minas Gerais no recorte temporal dos anos de 1960 e 70. Publicado pela primeira vez no ano de 1966, manteve em suas páginas textos que tiveram, entre outros objetivos, mapear e apresentar ao público leitor do caderno de cultura uma cartografia da arte produzida no Estado e endossar a sua importância não só para seus leitores mineiros, como também para fora de seus limites. Sendo assim, nos interessa investigar apontamentos às relações entre as formas dessa escrita e as conexões com a história da arte em Minas Gerais e o narrar de seu tempo histórico
