    La semántica de mundos posibles (SMP) se articula como una de lasteorías lógicas y filosóficas más importantes de nuestro tiempo. Los célebres mundosposibles forman y han formado parte en las últimas décadas de la jerga filosófica deautores de la llamada corriente analítica. Se ha tratado, además, de una teoría aptapara el tratamiento y abordaje de múltiples tópicos y problemas que han aquejado alos filósofos de todos los tiempos. Con el presente artículo, tendremos como foco deatención el origen, preparación y consolidación de SMP y sus nociones centrales dela mano de algunos de sus principales gestores.

    The possible worlds semantics (PWS) is articulated as one of the most relevant logical and philosophical theories of our time. The famous possible worlds form and have been part of the philosophical jargon of authors of the so-called analytical tendency in the last decades. It has also been a theory suitable for the treatment and approach of many topics and problems that have afflicted philosophers of all time. In this paper, we will focus on the origin, preparation and consolidation of PWS and its central notions by hand of some of its main representatives.
