In this article we intend to reflect on the writting of the Roman Ancient History, particulary about the eunuchs, through the literature. For a few decades now, historians have recognized literary works as productive sources to write history, however, when it comes to Antiquity, literature has always been an essential source and, quite likely, the only source on the subject at hand.We will also make some considerations regarding Queer Theory, which we judge appropriate in thinking both the current historiographical practice as well as the ancient representations of Roman eunuchs. These questions will be thought based on works Statius' Silvae, Martial's Epigrammata and Suetonius' De Uita Caesarum
Também fararemos algumas considerações sobre a Teoria Queer, a qual julgamos apropriada para pensar tanto a prática historiográfica atual quanto as representações dos eunucos romanos. Assim, estas questões serão pensadas aqui por meio das obras Silvae, de Estácio;
Epigrammata, de Marcial e De UitaCaesarum, de Suetônio
