Resumen de Estudios sobre utilización de residuos en terraplenes de carreteras

  Se realiza un repaso de los estudios realizados en el Laboratorio de Geotecnia del CEDEX en relación con el aprovechamiento de residuos en terraplenes de carreteras desde los años 80 del siglo pasado hasta el presente, escogiendo para ello los cuatro materiales más representativos de estos estudios: las cenizas volantes del carbón, los estériles de carbón, los neumáticos fuera de uso y los residuos de construcción demolición. Se incluye información sobre el marco legal en España de la utilización de residuos en terraplenes, se hace referencia a los estudios sobre los dos primeros residuos, y se resumen los estudios realizados sobre los otros dos materiales indicados, comentando los aspectos mecánicos y medioambientales de este tipo de aprovechamiento, así como de oportunidad para llevarlo a cabo.

  The paper presents an overview of the studies carried out at the Geotechnical Laboratory of CEDEX, from the 80s of the last century up to now, in relation to the use of waste materials in road embankments, selecting the four most representative materials aj these studies: coal fly ash, coal mining waste, scrap tyres, and construction-demolition waste. Information is included on the legal framework in Spain far the use aj recycled materials in road embankments. A reference is made to the first two waste materials, as well as a brief description of the studies conducted on the other two aforementioned materials, commenting on the mechanical and environmental aspects aj this type aj use, and on the opportunity to put it into effect.
