Resumen de Religiosidad en la Cultura Bahía, una perspectiva iconográfica

El presente trabajo fue realizado con el fin de leer parte de la cultura Bahía a través de su producción material. La iconografía de los figurines antropomorfos, antropozoomorfos y zoomorfos, permitió definir varios personajes artísticamente representados, además de su función y concepción social.
La herramienta de análisis utilizada para la decodificación de los signos y su carácter comunicativo fue la Semiótica. Dicho proceso dio como resultado códigos de comunicación recurrentes dentro de las representaciones Bahía y fuera de la misma, en culturas que se desarrollaron paralelamente. Finalmente, es importante recalcar que la interpretación juega con varias esferas del ser humano: el paisaje, las ideas que al ser socialmente aceptadas se materializaron mediante los códigos, y la estructura político religiosa. En ese sentido, si la sintaxis del lenguaje (mítico o natural) se mantiene, se conserva el valor cultural de un objeto; de lo contrario éste se modifica expresando varios significados.

The present work was designed to be away of understanding the Bahiaculture from its own material production. The iconography of the anthropomorphous, anthropozoomorphous and zoomorphous figures define some of the artistically represented characters as well as theirfunction and social conception.
Semiotics was used to decode the signs and theircommunicative character. This process results in the recurrence of communicative signs within Bahiarepresentation, outside of it, and also between cultures that developed in the same time. It is important to remark that the representations reflect all of the spheres of the human being: the landscape, the ideas that had been socially accepted materialized as codes, and political and religious structure. In that sense, if the language syntaxes (mythic ornatural) hold up, the cultural value of an object is conserved; otherwise this reading could be modified, expressing various meanings.
