    In this article spacial issues will be approached, related to the founding myth of a territory named as Fazenda Polônia in the state of Goiás - Brazil, based on the adventures and misadventures involving a historical character, the Polish known by the in habitants of that place as Antonio Rebendoleng Szervinsk : his departure from Poland, his arrival in Brazil and his settement in the country side of Goiás at the end of the first half of the nineteenth century. The question is valid, because when he ran away from his home country, Poland did not exist as a geopolitical territory. At the time, the lands of that country were under the yoke of the Russian Empire, a condition that endured for 123 years until day to achieved their freedom at the end of the First World War. That is, the nationality of its inhabítants was marked by a feeling embedded in the spirit of belonging to a nation that did not exist politically. It is considered that for the theory of space, research about the symbolic forms that are preserved through oral tradition, in the imagination of the family at the expense of the binding link that connects the descendants of this character to their ancestral founder, assumes the position of a pertinent literary study that clarifies how space is fundamental in researches on literature. In this bond, the symbolic analysis of this founding act helps to shed light on the theory of space.

    Nesse artigo procuramos trabalhar questões espaciais relacionadas ao mito de fundação de um território nomeado como Fazenda Polônia no interior do Estado de Goiás – Brasil, a partir das aventuras e desventuras que envolvem um personagem histórico, o polonês conhecido pelos habitantes desse lugar como Antonio Rebendoleng Szervinsk: sua partida da Polônia, sua chegada ao Brasil e sua instalação nos fundões do sertão de Goiás no final da primeira metade do século XIX.

    A questão é válida, pois na época em que fugiu de seu país natal, a Polônia não existe como território geopolítico. Nessa temporalidade, as terras desse país estavam sob o jugo do Império Russo, condição que suportou por longos 123 anos até alcançar sua liberdade no final da I Guerra Mundial. Ou seja, a nacionalidade de seus habitantes era marcada por um sentimento incrustado no espírito de pertencimento a uma nação que não existia politicamente. Ponderamos que para a teoria do espaço, a investigação a respeito das formas simbólicas conservadas, através da oralidade, no imaginário dessa família em detrimento do elo vinculante que liga os descendentes desse personagem ao seu ancestral fundador, assume a posição de um estudo literário pertinente que esclarece como o espaço é fundamental nas investigações sobre literatura. Nesse liame, a análise simbólica desse ato de fundação ajuda a lançar luzes sobre a teoria do espaço.
