This article explores the perspective and positioning of the Spanish nationalist magazine Fuerza Nueva in relation to the government of the Popular Unity between the years 1970-1973. The content analysis was based on a thorough review of the nearly fifty articles published on the Chilean socialist experiment in that period. Most of the ideas and opinions expressed in this regard were articulated around a more or less transversal topic that identified said government and its structural transformation project as an unequivocal case of expansion of Soviet communism through Latin America. This look, in addition to showing a strong anti-communist position, would also reveal an attempt to standardize part of the Chilean reality at that time in the context of the Spain of the 1930s, in order to make an interconnected reading between the two experiences
