Integración docente asistencial

    Hernán Siles Zuazo, Presidente Constitucional de Bolivia consideraba un deber del gobierno de la Nación facilitar a las Universidades su buen funcionamiento para la mejor enseñanza y capacitación profesional de los universitarios y  mediante el Decreto Supremo Nº 4789 de 04 de diciembre de 1957, declaraba HOSPITALES DE CLINICAS a los  Hospitales General Miraflores de La Paz,  Viedma de Cochabamba y Santa Barbara de Sucre, además que los Directores y Jefes de sus reparticiones técnicas sean  desempeñados por catedráticos de las respectivas Facultades de Medicina, elegidos por el Ministerio de Higiene y Salubridad, de ternas formuladas por los Consejos Directivos de dichas Facultades, considerando que debía existir la colaboración entre los catedráticos de las Universidades y los Jefes de los servicios de los hospitales y 22 años después el Gral. Div. David Padilla Arancibia, Presidente de la Honorable Junta Militar de Gobierno, con la finalidad de lograr  la integración docente-asistencial que debe alcanzar a todos los profesionales en salud de los hospitales con el fin de convertirlos en verdaderos hospitales académicos de enseñanza y  mediante Decreto Supremo Nº 16181 del 09 de febrero de 1979, complementa y aclara la disposición que los Hospitales de Clínicas nombrados  se transformen en  Hospitales Universitarios  con el fin de buscar y lograr una integración docente asistencial bien orientada, programada y completa.

Div. David Padilla Arancibia, President of the Honorable Junta Militar de Gobierno, with the aim of achieving the integration of teaching and care that should reach all health professionals in the hospitals in order to turn them into true academic teaching hospitals.
