    El propósito de este ensayo es reconstruir la concepción de Max Weber acerca del sujeto a través de su hipótesis sobre la congruencia entre la ética protestante y el es - píritu capitalista. La ética protestante y el espíritu capitalista ilustran cómo el suje - to de la ética protestante se relaciona causalmente con el sujeto del espíritu capita - lista: el eslabón causal es el concepto de vocación. Esta noción de vocación repre - senta un juego de motivos práctico-psicológicos, es decir, una esfera ética donde el sujeto se constituye por su fe incondicional en creencias no racionales.

    The intention of this essay is to rebuild Max Weber’s conception of subject through his hypothesis about the congruence between Protestant Ethic and Capitalist Spirit.

    The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism illustrates how the subject of pro - testant ethic is causally related to the subject of capitalist spirit: the causal link is the concept of vocation. This notion of vocation represents a set of practical-psychologi - cal motives, i.e., an ethical sphere where the subject is constituted by his unconditio - nal faith to non rational beliefs.
