    La presente investigación tiene como propósito la revisión bibliográfica para la recopilación de varios referentes teóricos que sustentan las potencialidades de la práctica de la espeleología en la formación integral de niños y jóvenes. En el informe se recopila información sobre el tratamiento de la formación de valores desde la práctica de la espeleología y la educación ambiental como uno de los componentes de la formación de valores y la enseñanza de las ciencias. Con el propósito de aplicar los conocimientos teóricos en la práctica educativa cubana actual. Así mismo aporta una nueva definición de espeleología donde se incluyen el carácter interdisciplinario, artístico y ecologista de la práctica de esta actividad.

    The present research has as purpose the bibliographical revision for the summary of several relating theoretical that sustain the potentialities of the practice of the speleology in the integral formation of children and young. In the report information is gathered on the treatment of the formation of securities from the practice of the speleology, the environmental education as one of the components of the formation of securities and the teaching of the sciences. With the purpose of applying the theoretical knowledge in the current Cuban educational practice. Likewise it contributes a new speleology definition where they are included the interdisciplinary, artistic and environmentalist character of the practice of this activity.
