Resumen de “Tarifazo”: Claves para pensar el ajuste

El presente trabajo se sitúa en el orden de la agenda mediática y analiza, desde la perspectiva teórica de la Agenda Setting, la cobertura que realizó Clarín de los acontecimientos relacionados con las subas de tarifas de los servicios públicos de luz y gas durante el primer año de gestión de Mauricio Macri. A nivel específico, describe la relevancia que adquirieron los acontecimientos en la cobertura y el tratamiento temático que recibieron. El análisis empírico arroja como temas más recurrentes “Cuestión tarifaria” y “Judicialización de las tarifas”. La cobertura tematizó los acontecimientos como medida económico-política o como proceso judicial, dejando en segundo plano la afectación a los usuarios. Dicha tendencia se reitera en los atributos más resaltados. Se comprueba un énfasis en los temas conflictivos y/o dramáticos: el tratamiento del fenómeno “Tarifazo” presentó un componente de espectacularización.

The present paper is about media agenda and analyzes, from the perspective of Agenda Setting, ClarÃn's coverage of the events related to the tariff increases of public utilities of light and gas, on the first year of Mauricio Macri government. It describes the relevance that events acquired in the coverage, and the thematic treatment they received. The empirical analysis shows as recurrent themes "Rate Question" and "Tariffs Judicialization". The coverage thematized the events as an economic-political issue or as a judicial process, leaving in the background the affectation to the users. This tendency is reiterated in the most outstanding attributes: disputes and / or negotiations between the powers of the State. There is an emphasis on conflicting and / or dramatic issues: the "Tarifazo" was built as a "spectacle" in the coverage.
