Esta investigación implementa mapas conceptuales como herramienta para la categorización de las ideas previas del concepto de ADN, en 41 estudiantes de grado octavo entre las edades de 14 y 16 años del colegio Manuelita Sáenz IED, Bogotá-Colombia. Se llevó a cabo un acercamiento a las concepciones del ADN a través de mapas conceptuales, por lo tanto, este trabajo tiene como objetivo identificar cuáles son las ideas previas de los estudiantes y cómo pueden estas contribuir en la enseñanza del concepto de ADN. La investigación fue elaborada utilizando la metodología cualitativa e instrumentos como grabaciones y registros fotográficos. Se puede afirmar que el uso de mapas conceptuales favorece la identificación de ideas previas de los estudiantes y también puede ser una estrategia de enseñanza y aprendizaje al permitir ampliar y profundizar sobre el concepto actualizado de ADN.
This research implements concept maps as a tool for the categorization of “misconceptions” of the concept of DNA, in 41 eighth grade students between the ages of 14 and 16 at the Manuelita Sáenz IED school, Bogotá, Colombia. An approach to the conceptions of DNA through concept maps was carried out, therefore, this work aims to identify what the students' “misconceptions” are and how they can contribute to the teaching of the concept of DNA. The research was elaborated using qualitative methodology and instruments such as recordings and photographic records. It can be affirmed that the use of concept maps favors the identification of “misconceptions” of the students and it can also be a teaching and learning strategy allowing to extend and deepen on the updated concept of DNA.
