    Es objeto del presente trabajo el estudio de la reforma de los Estatutos de la Real Federación Española de Ciclismo, en la que incluye una nueva definición del deporte del ciclismo incluyendo toda aquella manifestación y actividad competitiva y no competitiva bajo formato virtual y/o electrónico. A tal fin, nos ocuparemos del concepto de modalidad deportiva en la legislación española, su regulación, y el modo en que la Unión Ciclista Internacional ha empezado a prestar atención al fenómeno del denominado e-cycling o e-ciclismo.

    This papel deal with the study of the reform of the Statutes of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation, which includes a new definition of the sport of cycling, including all those manifestations and competitive and non-competitive activities in virtual and / or electronic format. We will deal with the concept of sports modality in Spanish legislation, its regulation, and the way in which the International Cycling Union has begun to pay attention to the phenomenon of so-called e-cycling or e-cycling.
