Estudos de género e Religião: diálogos difíceis e tensões latentes

    Feminist studies have unleashed wide public discussion of citizenship and gender equality, alongside the growth of social movements within religious activism opposed to feminist theories. This article analyzes the scientific production on the tension between religion and feminist studies, through an exploratory study of literature review of articles published in Portuguese scientific journals indexed to Scielo. From the content analysis of these studies the results point to the prevalence of articles related to monotheistic (Christian) religions, which mostly illustrate an androcentric view of religious discourse.

    Os estudos feministas têm desencadeado ampla discussão pública sobre cidadania e igualdade de género, paralelamente tem-se assistido ao crescimento de movimentos sociais enquadráveis no ativismo religioso de oposição às teorias feministas. O presente artigo analisa a produção científica sobre a tensão entre a religião e os estudos feministas, através de um estudo exploratório de revisão da literatura de artigos publicados em revistas científicas portuguesas indexadas ao Scielo. Da análise de conteúdo desses trabalhos os resultados apontam para a prevalência de artigos relativos a religiões monoteístas (cristãs) que ilustram, na sua maioria, uma visão androcêntrica do discurso religioso.
