Resumen de Recordando la cueva de Los Hornucos, Suano (Hermandad de Campoo de Suso, Cantabria)

  Este trabajo pretende poner al día el conocimiento de los restos arqueológicos que han llegado hasta nosotros de la cueva de Suano. Para ello, hemos consultado y dibujado los objetos materiales conservados en el MUPAC (Santander) y el MAN (Madrid). Nos ha sido de gran utilidad la consulta del diario de excavación de J. Carballo para entender el contexto de los objetos estudiados. El diario y las distintas publicaciones generadas en el tiempo sobre el enclave, nos han permitido reflexionar sobre la metodología aplicada por los responsables de la excavación, además de aproximarnos al ambiente y paisaje de la cueva de Suano en los años treinta del siglo veinte.

  This paper intends to bring up to date the knowledge of the remaining archaeological finds from Suano Cave. With that purpose, the authors have consulted and drawn all the objects located in the MUPAC (Santander) and the MAN (Madrid). J. Carballo’s site diary proved to be advantageous when trying to understand the context of the studied objects. The diary and other documents published over time, allowed the authors to better understand the Cueva de Suano’s surroundings and its landscape in the 1930s, as well as to ponder on the methodology employed during the excavation works undertaken at the time.
