    Se producen recientemente dos hechos en el escenario político español que devuelven el protagonismo al viejo debate en torno al uso de los símbolos religiosos en las tomas de posesión: por un lado la ausencia de símbolos religiosos en la toma de posesión de Pedro Sánchez y la reciente propuesta acerca de la necesidad, u oportunidad, de legislar una formulación amplia y armonizada, para las tomas de posesión en las instituciones españolas. Se propone una aportación al debate desde una conceptualización del protocolo dentro de la comunicación política, y un análisis de la evolución histórica del uso del simbolismo religioso en las tomas de posesión.

    Two events have recently taken place in the Spanish political scene that return the protagonist to the old debate about the use of religious symbols in the takings of possession: on the one hand the absence of religious symbols in the inauguration of Pedro Sánchez and the recent proposal about the need, or opportunity, to legislate a broad and harmonized formulation, for takeovers in Spanish institutions. A contribution to the debate is proposed from a conceptualization of the protocol within the political communication, and an analysis of the historical evolution of the use of religious symbolism in the takings of possession.
