    El fallecimiento del general de brigada de Sanidad Juan Rey Naya, por causa de la COVID-19, da pie a una reflexión sobre el concepto de liderazgo o, mejor dicho, sobre la carencia de este a nivel global. No ha habido liderazgo a este nivel antes de la crisis, no lo ha habido durante la gestión de esta y no cabe, por ello, esperar que surja después.

    Los grandes líderes que ha dado Europa desde Churchill hasta Helmut Kohl parecen encontrarse ausentes, hay un vacío de liderazgo tanto a nivel global como europeo.

    Estamos ante un problema de modelo, ya que, en la práctica, los problemas no se lideran, sino que simplemente se gestionan.

    The death of the General of Health Brigade D. Juan Rey Naya due to COVID-19 gives rise to a reflection on the concept of leadership, or rather the lack of this at a global level.

    There has been no leadership at this level before the crisis, there has not been during the management of the crisis and therefore it cannot be expected that it will arise afterwards.

    The great leaders that Europe has given from Churchill to Helmut Kohl seem to be absent.

    We are facing a model problem since, in practice, problems are not led but managed.
