    La crisis del coronavirus ha afectado severamente a las finanzas de los principales cárteles mexicanos fundamentalmente por la falta de abastecimiento para producir fentanilo, ya que los precursores químicos para su fabricación proceden de China.

    Aunque este país parece que se va recuperando de la pandemia, la crisis se ha recrudecido en Occidente, en Europa y fundamentalmente en EE. UU., su principal mercado, lo que presagia malos tiempos para los narcos e incrementa las posibilidades de que incursionen en otros segmentos de la economía como pudieran ser la alimentación o los medicamentos, con el peligro que ello conlleva.

    The coronavirus crisis has severely hit the finances of the main Mexican cartels, due to the lack of supplies to produce fentanyl, since the chemical precursors for its manufacture come from China. Although the Chinese seem to be recovering from the pandemic, the crisis has worsened in the West, particularly in the US, the main market for these for these synthetic opioids.

    The lack of suppliers brings bad times for drug traffickers and increases the possibilities that they venture into other segments of the economy such as food or medicines, with the danger that it entails.
