  • The article offers information on the poesie paintings meld myth, Renaissance politics, and the history of violence. Topics include examines that series of monumental paintings commissioned from the Venetian Renaissance painter in the 1550 by the powerful Habsburg ruler, Philip II; and considered that the National Gallery exhibition brings together Titian poesie for the first time in three centuries.
