    Siguiendo el enfoque de la estructura de oportunidades políticas y la noción de identidad colectiva, uno de los objetivos de este trabajo es analizar las movilizaciones y ciclos de protesta en los que participó el movimiento estudiantil venezolano, el actor con mayor credibilidad, durante el periodo 2007-2019. El propósito es conocer el impacto del cierre del sistema político a la participación, la polarización y el creciente autoritarismo y represión en su éxito o fracaso.

    Following a political opportunities structure approach and the notion of collective identity, one of the objectives of this work is to analyze the mobilizations and cycles of protest in which the Venezuelan student movement, the actor with the greatest credibility, participated during the period 2007-2019. The purpose is to know the impact of the closure of the political system on participation, polarization and the growing authoritarianism and repression on its success or failure.
