Entre ficciones e historia: del Jesús histórico al Jesús galileo

    El presente escrito reproduce de forma íntegra la conferencia inaugural de la Cátedra de Estudios sobre Religiones (CER) de la Escuela de Filosofía de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Al centrarse en el estudio de la figura histórica de Jesús, esta conferencia esboza un status quæstionis de la disciplina del “Jesús histórico” en relación con la teología, las ciencias de la religión y el método histórico-crítico. A su vez, argumenta cómo algunos de los modernos paradigmas históricos sobre Jesús están influenciados por creaciones ficcionales que no corresponden a los datos que arrojan las lecturas críticas. Finalmente, concluye con las propuestas mayoritariamente aceptadas acerca del Jesús galileo como punto de partida de una ulterior discusión.

    This paper reproduces in full the inaugural conference of the Chair of Studies on Religions (CER) of the School of Philosophy at the University of Costa Rica. By focusing on the study of the historical figure of Jesus, this conference outlines a status quæstionis of the discipline of the “historical Jesus” in relation to theology, the sciences of religion and the historical-critical method. At the same time, it argues that some of the modern historical paradigms about Jesus are influenced by fictional creations that do not correspond to the data thrown by critical readings. Finally, it concludes with the proposals mostly accepted about the Galilean Jesus as the starting point of a further discussion.
