A través de la revisión bibliográfica realizada en este trabajo, se ha observado que el tipo de relación que se establece, incluso antes del nacimiento, entre madre/cuidador habitual-hijo determinará las bases de las futuras relaciones afectivas a lo largo de su vida.
Los objetivos de este trabajo han sido, describir cómo se forma el vínculo madre – hijo desde su gestación, parto, durante los primeros meses de vida y a lo largo de toda la etapa infantil.
A continuación, se describen los mecanismos y variables que influyen en la construcción del apego, así como, los beneficios del método canguro o contacto piel con piel y por último, planteamos la importancia del papel de la enfermería como promotora del vínculo afectivo madre-hijo. Aumentando así, los conocimientos y la sensibilización de todos los profesionales sanitarios sea cual sea su lugar de trabajo.
Las competencias de Enfermería en la construcción, fomento, conservación o restauración del apego, vienen determinadas por la utilización del Proceso Enfermero. La valoración de las familias junto con el diagnóstico: Riesgo de Alteración de la vinculación (00058) entre los padres y el lactante/niño, nos permitirá abordar este problema de salud de forma científica.

Through literature review on this subject, we observed that the type of bond established even before the child is born, between mother or close caregiver and child will determine which will be the basis of future affectionate relationship throughout his life. The aim of this study was to describe how the mother- and- child bond is created since his pregnancy, child birth, for the first few months of life and throughout childhood.
We will now describe the mechanisms and variables that influence on the formation of attachment, as well as the benefits of the kangaroo mother care or skin-to-skin contact between a mother and her newborn. Finally we highlight nursing as promoter of the affection bond between mother and child, by increasing knowledge and awareness of all healthcare professionals regardless of their place of work.
Nursing core competencies in providing education, guidance, encouragement and emotional support, and promoting mother-infant attachment are determined by the implementation of nursing process.
The assessment of families along with the nursing diagnosis (00058) ” Risk for impaired parent/infant/child attachment ” will allow us to deal with this health problem in a scientific way.
