    Los identificadores persistentes (PIDs) identifican de forma unívoca las diferentes entidades del ecosistema de investigación. Los PIDs abiertos están adquiriendo mayor relevancia, dada su alta interoperabilidad y facilidad de integración en diferentes sistemas, además de contribuir a la FAIRificación de los resultados de investigación. Entre ellos, el identificador orcid (u orcid iD) se ha convertido en un estándar de identificación de autores. En este texto, analizamos la adopción de orcid en España y el rol de la comunidad española en el desarrollo y crecimiento. Se presentan algunos datos sobre esta adopción y crecimiento. Se describe la situación de la integración institucional, desde los primeros consorcios de Orcid fundados en España, hasta las actuales integraciones en funcionamiento.

    Persistent identifiers (PIDs) uniquely identify the different entities of the research ecosystem. Open PIDs are becoming more relevant, given their high interoperability and ease of integration into different systems, as well as contributing to the FAIRification of research results. Among them, the orcid identifier (or orcid iD) has become an author identification standard. In this text, we analyze the adoption of orcid in Spain and the role of the Spanish community in its development and growth. We present some data on this adoption and growth. We also describe the situation of institutional integration, from the first Orcid consortia founded in Spain, to the current integrations in operation.
