La novela Patria de Fernando Aramburu fue, como bien es sabido, un éxito editorial del año 2016, valorado fundamentalmente desde parámetros ideológicos, hasta el punto de que muchos la han definido como el “relato por antonomasia del conflicto vasco”. En este artículo se aborda el tema de los antropónimos (nombres de persona) de dicha novela como parte importante del entramado narrativo creado por el autor y del entramado ideológico en el que se mueven el autor y los personajes. La elección de los nombres de los personajes por parte de Aramburu responde a una decisión meditada que es el eje central de este estudio.
The novel Patria by Fernando Aramburu was a bestseller of the year 2016, valued fundamentally from ideological parameters, to the point that many have defined it as the «narrative par excellence of the Basque conflict». This article deals with the anthroponyms of Patria as an important part of the narrative framework created by the author and the ideological framework in which the author and the characters move. The choice of the names of the characters by Aramburu responds to a thoughtful decision that is the main part of this study.
