El artículo estudia los comportamientos homicidas de mujeres –agresiones contra varones en el marco doméstico y sentimental–, desentrañando el significado social de su accionar durante la década de 1940. Tras la lucha revolucionaria, los gobiernos defendieron el esquema de familia patriarcal, según el cual los hombres eran proveedores y autoridad, en tanto que a las mujeres les concernían los espacios de la sensibilidad, la maternidad y responsabilidad doméstica. No obstante, la convivencia al interior de los hogares llegaba a presentar importantes patrones de violencia y a las mujeres como las principales ofendidas. Indicio que establece el punto de partida de la investigación, pero que a la vez se desentiende de la idea de presentar a las mujeres como simples víctimas convertidas en victimarias; por el contrario, se analiza los mecanismos del accionar femenino homicida en función del sentido social que sus comportamientos adquirían en el marco de los entornos donde ellas se desenvolvían.

The article study homicidal behaviours of women –violence mostly committed against males in the domestic and sentimental context–, unravelling the social meaning of their actions during the 1940s. After the revolutionary struggle, the Governments defended the inherited patriarchal family according to which the men were providers and authority on wife and children, while women were concerned the areas of sensitivity, motherhood and household responsibility. However, coexistence at the interior of the homes presented important patterns of violence against women. This hint sets the starting point of the investigation, but avoiding to show women such as victims turned victimizers; on the contrary, the article analyses the mechanisms of homicidal female action in view of the social sense that their behaviours acquired within the framework of the environments where they were unfolded.
