    En el presente artículo se abordan algunos efectos de Derecho Público y privado de la iniciativa pública de las Augustas y de otras mujeres relevantes en el marco de la auctoritas femenina, en tiempo de la dinastía Julia Claudia. Se analiza también la intervención del Princeps y del Senado en la configuración del crimen maiestatis y la dificultad de establecer límites entre accusatio maiestatis y accusatio adulteriis, en el nuevo sistema de la cognitio extra ordinem a partir de algunos procesos seguidos contra mujeres pertenecientes a la domus imperial.

    In this article I seek to deepen historical understanding surrounding the evolution of the female auctoritas at the time of the Julia Claudia dynasty, including the legal impact of public and private law governing the power of the Augustae and other influential women. My analysis also examines the role of the Senate in the creation of new crimes (the crimen maiestatis and the complex relationship between this and the crimen adulteriis) though senatorial procedures led by women belonging to the imperial domus Principis.
