Las brigadas de artillería de marina: creación, ordenación legal y desarrollo (1717-1800)

    En este trabajo se trata de exponer y analizar, cumplidos recientemente tres siglos de su creación, la evolución del Real Cuerpo de Artillería de Marina en el siglo xVIII, desde la fecha de su institución (1717) hasta final de siglo (1800). Fue en estos años cuando se aprobaron sus primeras instrucciones reguladoras, a cuyo análisis se dedican las primeras páginas, especialmente a las de 5 de mayo de 1717, consideradas la norma fundacional del cuerpo.

    Asimismo, se estudia su división en brigadas y el número de estas, los problemas iniciales de organización, disciplina y régimen interior, la formación de los artilleros y, en fin, la evolución del cuerpo hasta convertirse en un prestigioso instituto, compuesto por veinte brigadas y miles de hombres a finales de la centuria

    Recently completed three centuries since its creation, this work deals with exposing and analyzing the evolution of the Royal Naval Artillery Corps in the eighteenth century, from the date of its establishment: 1717, until the end of the century, 1800. It was in these years when the first regulatory instructions of the Corps were approved, to whose analysis the first pages are dedicated, especially of the Instructions of May 5, 1717, considered the founding regulation of the corps. Also, its division in brigades is studied, and the number of these, the initial problems of organization, discipline and internal regime, the training of the artillerymen, and also how it gradually evolved into a prestigious Corps, composed of twenty brigades and thousands of men at the end of the century
